YESPLAY PRO20 CUP CATCH COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. DEFINITIONS

These terms and conditions (the “T&Cs“) govern the YesPlay Pro20 Cup Catch Competition (the “Competition”). The Promoter conducts the Competition as a promotional competition under section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA“).

Headings are for convenience only and do not affect how these T&Cs are interpreted.

The terms below have the meanings given to them, and related expressions have corresponding meanings:

  • “Competition” – the YesPlay Pro20 Cup Catch Competition;
  • “Match” – any match played as part of the YesPlay Pro20 Cup during the Competition Period;
  • “Participant” – a person who:
    • is a South African citizen, permanent resident, or a tourist holding a valid visa, and who holds a valid identity document or travel document proving their age and their citizenship, residency or right to be in South Africa. A person who does not have these documents when they make the catch has 24 hours to give the Promoter the relevant information;
    • holds a valid South African bank account in their own name;
    • is over 18 (eighteen) years old; and
    • attends a Match as a spectator during the Competition Period;
  • “Promoter” – SA Sportsbook (Pty) Ltd t/a YesPlay, registration number 2013/016123/07, a bookmaker licensed under bookmaker licence 10180204-013, issued by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board on 26 November 2025;
  • “Competition Period” – 25th September 2026 till 15th November 2026 (incl. reserve final day), being the period during which YesPlay Pro20 Cup matches take place;
  • “Prize” – R2,000,000.00 (two million Rand), or a equal share of it if more than one Participant makes a Winning Catch during the Competition Period;
  • “YesPlay Pro20 Cup” – the Cricket South Africa NPC domestic T20 competition known as the YesPlay Pro20 Cup, hosted at venues around South Africa during the Competition Period; and
  • “Winning Catch” or “Winning Entry” – a clean, one-handed catch of a cricket ball hit for a six during a Match, made by a Participant without the ball touching anyone or anything else, as described more fully in clause 4.
2. HOW TO ENTER
  • A Participant enters the Competition by making a Winning Catch at a Match during the Competition Period.
3. PRIZE
  • The Promoter will award the Prize for each Winning Catch made in accordance with these T&Cs.
  • If more than one Participant makes a Winning Catch during the Competition Period, the Promoter will divide the Prize equally between them.
4. A WINNING CATCH
  • A catch qualifies as a Winning Catch only if:
    • the Participant makes a clean, one-handed catch of a ball hit for a six during a Match played in the Competition Period. Juggling the ball, whether with one or both hands, does not qualify;
    • stadium video or broadcast footage clearly captures the catch, so the Promoter can audit it;
    • the ball does not touch any other person or object at any point between leaving the bat and being caught one-handed by the Participant;
    • the Participant may use either hand to make the catch;
    • the Participant catches the ball bare-handed. Gloves of any kind (including wicket-keeping gloves, baseball mitts or hockey gloves) and any other artificial aid disqualify the catch;
    • the Promoter’s independent auditors review the available footage to verify each claimed Winning Catch, and the Promoter’s decision is final;
    • the Promoter treats an alleged Winning Catch not captured on camera as ineligible; and
    • a Participant may make up to two Winning Catches during the Competition Period, and each qualifies for a share of the Prize.
  • Video evidence is an essential requirement of the Competition to ensure that all claimed Winning Catches can be independently verified, assessed consistently against the prescribed criteria and protected against fraudulent or disputed claims.
  • The following evidence may be considered, in order of preference and in the Promoter’s discretion:
    • Official stadium footage captured by cameras operated by or on behalf of the venue, CSA or its appointed service providers;
    • Official broadcast footage, including live broadcasts, replays and alternative camera angles; and
    • Alternative video footage, including footage recorded by spectators or other third parties, provided that such footage can be independently authenticated and reliably establishes that the catch satisfies these T&Cs.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to reject any footage or evidence reasonably determined to be fraudulent, manipulated, misleading or unreliable, subject to the independent adjudicator’s assessment.
5.  MATCHES
  • The Competition runs for the Competition Period, during the YesPlay Pro20

  • Cricket South Africa NPC (“CSA“) controls the YesPlay Pro20 Cup schedule and may change the format, duration, date or venue of a Match at any The Promoter does not control these changes.
  • A Participant is responsible for keeping themselves informed of any change to the schedule, and the Promoter is not liable for any change.
6.  AWARD OF THE PRIZE
  • No person under 18 (eighteen) years old may win the
  • For the avoidance of doubt, any catch made by a person under the age of 18 (eighteen) years at the time of the catch shall not constitute a Winning Catch or qualifying Winning Entry for the purposes of this Competition, irrespective of whether such catch otherwise satisfies the requirements of clause 4.
  • No Prize or portion thereof shall be awarded or payable to such person, their parent, legal guardian or any other person on their behalf. Any such catch shall be excluded from the calculation of the total number of qualifying Winning Entries for the purposes of determining the allocation of the Prize.
  • A Participant who makes a Winning Catch in accordance with these T&Cs shall be entitled to the Prize, or a share of it as described in these Ts&Cs.
  • The Prize is a maximum of R2,000,000.00 (two million Rand) in total, however many Participants make a Winning Catch during the Competition
  • The Prize shall only be awarded and paid following the conclusion of the Competition Period, once all qualifying Winning Entries have been verified and the total number of Winning Entries has been finally determined. The Prize shall be divided equally among all qualifying Winning Entries, subject to the maximum aggregate prize pool of R2,000,000.00 (two million Rand). Payment shall be made by electronic funds transfer into each winner’s verified South African bank account within 30 (thirty) days following the conclusion of the Competition Period, subject to the completion of the applicable verification requirements..
  • The Promoter will not award the Prize until it has verified the Winning Catch and is satisfied, in its discretion, that the Participant and the catch meet these T&Cs. A potential winner must complete a consent form, and has 24 hours to give the Promoter documents proving they qualify as a Participant Where any claimed Winning Entry is subject to a dispute, investigation or pending verification, the Promoter may withhold payment of the portion of the Prize attributable to such disputed Winning Entry until the matter has been finally determined. The Promoter may proceed with payment to undisputed winners, provided that sufficient funds are reserved to accommodate any outstanding claims and that such payments do not prejudice the final allocation of the Prize.
  • Only a Participant who is lawfully in South Africa and over 18 years old may take part in the Competition or receive the Prize.
  • The winner is responsible for giving the Promoter their correct name, address and bank account details, bank confirmation letter, as well as any other additional documentation as may be required in terms of the Promoter’s general Terms and Conditions and/or FICA (Financial Intelligence Centre Act 38 of 2001).
  • The Promoter shall not be responsible for a Prize paid into the wrong or an incorrect bank account.

  • The Promoter may ask a winner for proof of identity, residency or travel status, including a driver’s licence, identity document, passport or bank account details.
7.  GENERAL TERMS OF ENTRY
  • A Participant must meet the definition of “Participant” to enter the Competition or claim the Prize.
  • By taking part in the Competition, a Participant accepts these T&Cs.
  • A Participant may raise a dispute with the Promoter in writing during the Competition The Promoter will consider it and notify the Participant of its decision in writing. The Promoter’s decision is final and binding, and it need not give reasons or enter further correspondence.
  • The Promoter may change these T&Cs, or extend, postpone or end the Competition, at any time and without notice.
  • The Promoter may withdraw the Competition without notice if a force majeure event occurs. A force majeure event includes anything beyond a party’s reasonable control, such as severe weather, war, earthquake, disaster, strike, epidemic or pandemic, or the threat of one.
  • The Promoter may refuse to award the Prize to a Participant it reasonably believes has broken these T&Cs or gained an unfair advantage.
  • The Prize is not transferable. Where a verified winner voluntarily declines to accept the Prize, whether for religious, personal or any other reason, such winner shall forfeit their entitlement to the relevant share of the Prize, provided that the refusal is expressly confirmed in writing. The forfeited amount shall not be redistributed among the remaining winners and shall remain unawarded. If a winner does not want the Prize for religious or other reasons, the Promoter may elect to donate their share to a charity of the Promoter’s choice. The Promoter shall have no obligation to donate the forfeited amount to charity or award it to any other person.
  • A Participant takes part in the Competition at their own The Promoter is not liable for any damage or injury a Participant suffers while taking part, including indirect or consequential loss.
  • A winner receives the Prize entirely at their own
  • The Prize shall be paid to the winner without any deduction or withholding of tax by the Promoter, except where such deduction or withholding is required by applicable law. The winner shall be solely responsible for determining, declaring and paying any taxes, duties or other statutory charges arising from or in connection with the receipt of the Prize, to the extent applicable. The Promoter shall not be responsible for any tax liability incurred by the winner or for providing tax or financial advice.
  • The Competition begins at 25th September 2026 at 14h00 and closes at midnight on 14th November 2026 (should the reserve day be used for the final, the 15th November 2026 would be the final date).
  • These T&Cs are subject to all applicable venue, gambling and licensing
  • The Promoter will publish these T&Cs on the Promoter’s official website, and CSA will publish them at CSA website and at each venue hosting a Match during the Competition Period.
  • By accepting these T&Cs, a Participant accepts the risks of taking part, and indemnifies the Promoter, CSA, the event broadcaster, and each of their directors, employees and agents against any claim for damage, cost, injury or loss arising from the Competition or related activities, except where the gross negligence or wilful misconduct of an indemnified party caused it.
  • A director, member, partner, employee, agent, consultant or supplier of the Promoter, CSA or the event broadcaster, any person who controls or is controlled by them, and their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family, may not take part in the Competition.
  • The Promoter and CSA are not liable for any misrepresentation, written or verbal, about the Prize, or for a warranty given by anyone other than the Promoter. For questions about these T&Cs, contact the Promoter’s customer support on support@yesplay.bet
  • The Promoter may ask a winner to complete an information disclosure agreement confirming they meet these T&Cs. If a winner has not met these T&Cs, the Promoter will disqualify them and they forfeit the Prize. A winner may also need to sign a prize-acceptance and indemnity document, and must submit FICA verification documents to claim the The Prize is not transferable and cannot be substituted, and the Promoter will pay it only to the verified winner, not to a third party.
  • A person who is self-excluded under the National Gambling Act 7 of 2004, or under an applicable responsible-gambling programme, during the Competition Period is not eligible to win the Prize.

  • Each Participant warrants that all information, declarations and documentation submitted to the Promoter in connection with the Competition and as per clause 17, are true, accurate, complete and not misleading, and that they meet all eligibility requirements prescribed in these T&Cs.
  • To the extent permitted by applicable law, each Participant indemnifies and holds harmless the Promoter, CSA and their respective directors, employees and agents against any direct losses, damages, liabilities, claims, costs or expenses reasonably incurred as a result of:
    • any fraudulent, dishonest or deliberately misleading representation or declaration made by the Participant;
    • the submission of false, fraudulent or materially inaccurate information or documentation;
    • any breach by the Participant of these T&Cs, including any attempt to manipulate the outcome of the Competition or fraudulently claim a Prize; or
    • any claim made by a third party arising directly from the Participant’s fraudulent or unlawful conduct in connection with the Competition.
  • Where a Prize has been awarded or paid to a Participant as a result of fraud, deliberate misrepresentation or the submission of materially false information, the Promoter reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to disqualify the Participant and recover any Prize amount incorrectly paid, together with reasonable recovery costs to the extent legally recoverable.
8. USE OF INFORMATION

By taking part in the Competition, a Participant consents to:

  • the Promoter using their name, photograph and broadcast footage for promotional purposes;
  • attending a prize-giving or other promotion wearing the Promoter’s branded clothing; and
  • the Promoter keeping their personal information to run and administer the Competition, and for future competitions or promotions, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”).

A Participant may ask the Promoter to access, correct or delete their information.
