YesPlay Cobras look to extend winning momentum against Kaneez Tuskers

October 2026

CAPE TOWN – The YesPlay Cobras will be looking to continue their winning run when they take on the Kaneez Tuskers in the YesPlay Pro20 at Pietermaritzburg Oval on Sunday, 25 October 2026, at 13:00.

The Boys In Blue head into the encounter with confidence after winning four of their five matches, and pacer Tshepo Moreki says the team is determined to build on the positive performances that have put them in a strong position.

“We are extremely confident and desperate to just keep on building on the good things we’ve been doing,” said Moreki.

Rory Kleinveldt-coached side has focused on keeping its approach simple while maintaining an aggressive mindset with both ball and bat.

“We kept everything quite simple with ball in hand and looked to stay aggressive with the bat,” he explained.

With the next stage of the tournament presenting another important challenge, the team has continued working on key areas of its game, with particular attention to execution in crucial moments.

“We have been sharpening up on a few specific skills like death bowling and fielding,” Moreki said.

The YesPlay Cobras expect a competitive contest against the Kaneez Tuskers, where energy, discipline and limiting mistakes could prove decisive.

“We expect lots of energy and discipline, and it could come down to the team that makes the fewest mistakes,” he added.

Moreki also stressed the importance of sustaining the team’s current form as the competition progresses.

“Momentum is everything in sport and to maintain it is crucial,” he said.

The YesPlay Newlands-based side will be eager to carry that momentum into Sunday’s clash, with Moreki confident that the team is ready for the challenge.

“They can expect an excited team, keen on keeping the winning streak going and a team that’s up for the fight,” he concluded.

YesPlay Cobras will be determined to deliver another disciplined performance and keep their winning ambitions firmly on track.
